You might be wondering why an Alpine Rescue team for Upper Ojai but almost every time it rains down here it's snowing on Mount Pinos and Pine Mountain; which are both in our county and our service area. Many members of our team are a part of the alpine specialty team. These members put in lots of extra time training in places like Mount Pinos, Mammoth Mountain and Mt Baldy. To be apart of the alpine team be ready to spend serious dollars on equipment and be prepared to spend days and nights searching in the snow. The alpine team has been requested numerous times by other agencies in the state for mutual aid in winter mountain searches.
